Dhoadhi Retreat keeps things simple, clean and genuinely useful - shaded places to sit, a good breakfast, fast help with transfers and excursions, and rooms that stay cool and quiet.
Breakfast is prepared fresh every morning and changes from day to day, with continental, Asian, vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options, warm dishes and juice. Kids' meals and packed lunches can be arranged for an additional charge, complimentary refillable drinking water is available in glass bottles, room service is offered throughout the day and BBQ facilities can be prepared on request for an additional charge.
Every room is air-conditioned and non-smoking, with a fan, linens, a wardrobe or closet, a clothes rack, a drying rack for clothing, a socket near the bed, a desk, a seating area and a private bathroom with a shower, bidet, toilet, towels, toilet paper and free toiletries. Rooms have either a balcony with garden and island views or a ground-floor patio, and family rooms are available for larger groups.
The sandy courtyard and garden are built around the palm trees, with outdoor furniture, an outdoor fireplace, a shared lounge and TV area and quiet corners for reading or working. It is the natural place to plan the day, meet other travellers or sit out the warmest hours of the afternoon in the shade.
The beach is about a minute away on foot and water sports facilities are available on site for an additional charge, while snorkeling, diving, canoeing, windsurfing and fishing trips are arranged off site with local operators. Bicycle rental makes it easy to circle the island, board games and puzzles are available for slower afternoons, and the team is happy to recommend surf breaks and swimming spots depending on the day's conditions.
Free WiFi covers all areas of the property and the front desk is open 24 hours a day. Airport shuttle, shared boat and speedboat transfers, public transit tickets and island excursions are arranged for an additional charge, invoices are provided on request and English is spoken. Please note that there is no parking at the property, and bicycle parking is available instead.
The property is smoke free and secured with key access, fire extinguishers and CCTV in common areas and outside the building. Pets are allowed on request at no extra charge, and when booking more than two rooms different policies and additional fees may apply.
